StarCraft RV

I bought an Autumn, Ridge 18RB and Paid cash when I went to pick it up it wasn't the one I looked at.I was so excited to get a trailer that I was hooked up and out the door. When I got home I realized that it wasn't the one I looked at and it had several things wrong. The black water handle came off in my hand and had to be replaced also the outside speaker had no wire to it so it didn't work and then the center top had a larger bump in it ( still waiting to hear from them.) I'm a 77yeaar old woman who has worked all my life and only hopes that this experience does not happen to anyone ever again just want to let you know if your going to continue to do business with this company good luck Thank You

called to get info on why after two new hot water heater installs we still get no hit water. Katy from Jayco in Indiana is ride and it is too much clearly for her to get up from her chair where her *** is glued to go ask a service tech for the info.

She kept asking me over and over for a vin which I told her does not matter on an older trailer then she said they keep records from that year .., haha I said nope.. she rather argue snd play games as I was right again could not pull up any info from our names hahaha, funny not funny as she wastes my time for 15 minutes. Then she says dhe has no manager to which I laugh and say I 100 know you are not it, not the top in the chain because you are too lazy.

I hung up because I could not deal with her any longer But THE JOKE IS NOW ON JAYCO AS WE WERE TRYING TO FIX AN ISSUE TO SELL OUR TRAILER AND THE 65K UNIT WE WERE GOING TO BUY IS A NO WAY IN *** WITH THIS TYPE OF SERVICE. we will go back and look at the Solaire trailer byeeeee

I purchased a 2017 Starcraft Satellite 18DS at the end of 2017. We have used it maybe four or five times since we bought it.

On our first trip out, the front stabilizers bent. We also found that there were problems with the wiring, but the dealer fixed that. In the past two years, since COVID, we have not had it out but have checked it from time to time and changed out damp rid, etc. We checked it last weekend and noticed the floor appears to be rotted right at entry.

Checked all around inside and saw no obvious signs of water coming in on the inside walls. Checked under the RV and saw that there is a waterproof lining under the RV, which appeared to be hanging down. My husband cut into the lining and water rushed out. Water has somehow been getting under that lining under the floor and getting trapped there..

It appears that it has been seeping into the side slide bench as well. We have made an appointment with our dealer for an inspection.

If you look to buy an RV, think about your options carefully before buying a Starcraft Satellite. The materials are all cheap and now we have discovered what appears to us to be a HUGE design flaw, resulting in rotting of our floor.

First, as soon as you drive off the lot and they have your money you no longer exist unless you want to pay for something.

Had to take our BRAND NEW 2020 unit in for numerous fixes after our two trial runs. On our big trip to Big Bend for 6 weeks the propane regulator stopped working in the third week.

After finding out that the outrageously expensive extended warrantee had a $200 deductible (was NEVER told that by the dealer) I talked with their tech service and he ran me through some checks. He agreed the regulator was bad. The nearest RV repairman was 100 miles away. So I ordered the part on Amazon to be delivered to the campground and replaced it myself.

It was $43 versus several hundred if I had a mobile service guy come down or take it to them.

Indiana RV Connections in Middlebury completely blew me off because I fixed it and gave me the 1-800 number for Starcraft. Starcraft told me because I did not have a certified repairman do it I had to take it back to the dealer.
